At the beginning, it started as a single store but in course of time it has become one of the leading outdoor store with 4 outlets in major parts of Kathmandu.

Initially started as a retail store we have grown up to become the authorized dealers of the world renown products like Victorinox, Wenger and Quechua. We are in the process of importing products of other famous brands in the field of adventure from different parts of the world.

Owner of Monastry Handicrafts and Summit Trading Co. Mr.Rajendra Bilash Joshi, is a young Nepali entrepreneur with a lot of experience in Handicraft business in Nepal. Initially he started his business in the field of sales and marketing of Nepali handicrafts (Statues, Thanka, Paintings and other Handicrafts) promoting Nepali Handicrafts. He has participated in a many handicrafts exhibition and trade fairs throughout Europe, America, Japan and many other countries. He has travelled to Japan, France, Italy, Germany, Luxemburg, Switzerland, Belgium, Austria, Hong Kong, China, Thailand, UAE, India, Bangladesh and USA. He has more than 25 years of experience in Sales and Marketing.

Presently he is also engaged in the adventure industry promoting Nepal globally in the field of adventure tourism. He has great interest in the promotion of quality adventure gears of different international brands. His main aim is to promote Adventure Tourism in Nepal providing quality equipment to the adventure loving people from different parts of the world.

HPL owns and operates Khimti I Hydropower Project (60MW), the first private sector power project in Nepal, developed on a Build-Own-Operate-Transfer (BOOT)model.

The Government of Nepal (GON) entered into an agreement with Butwal Power Company in 1992 to commence preparatory works in order to expedite the construction of the Khimti I Hydropower Project
